Norfolk (U.K.) based Litespeed F3 has announced its intention to apply for entry to the 2010 Formula 1 season under the new FIA budget cap rules. Submitting its application under the Litespeed GP name, the team has engaged MGI Ltd, whose Managing Director is the legendary Mike Gascoyne.

Castroneves bounced off the wall on Saturday during qualifying for the A.J.Foyt 225. The Brazilian driver was not injured, but his Penske Racing No. 3 Dallara sustained considerable damage and he will start Sunday’s race from the rear of the 20-car grid.
