A Quick Note for Kurt Busch

Kurt, when a racing driver is stopped by the local constabulary, this is the correct way to act.

You may lose your licence for clocking 148kph in a 60kph zone, but the hoopla will be a hell of a lot less.

Sincerely your friends at Full Throttle.

UPDATE: Oh the irony! Just a few days before Fisichella did his roadway impression of Speedy Gonzales he was appealing to Romans to slow down following an horror road smash that killed a 16-year-old.

”Go-karts are a better way to let your speed loose,” Fisichella had told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, ”and to show you are skilful with a steering wheel.”

Hmmm… no further comment necessary.

  1. Wow, he was going a little fast. That’s about 90 mph in a 40 mph zone? I wonder if the tickets are as bad in Rome as they are here in the states?

I don’t think a kid’s fever is quite the kind of emergency to be going that fast for… must be his first born. At least he manned up and took responsibility at the scene instead of when his career came into question, unlike someone we know in NASCAR.

Fortunately, I can safely say that most NASCAR drivers have the kind of class to act like Fisichella did in this incident. Kurt Busch is one of the few exceptions to that.

  2. You know how those race car drivers are, born and bred speed demons!

I’m not sure what a speeding ticket would cost over there, other than the obvious loss of licence, but I do know if caught drunk driving anywhere in Europe they take every thing but your first born.
