Beats the hell out of me also Peter, I’m figurin’ the series will struggle thru 2/3rds of a season, attendance, what there is of it, will nosedive and it will quietly disappear.

Formula Super League?? I still can’t get my head around that business model. A hook up between your local soccer club & a racing car/series. Nope I don’t get it.

If my Cronulla Sharks plastered sponsorship all over one of the local V8’s, I can’t imagine the average football fan would give a damn. In fact they might object on the grounds that the money should be spent on development of juniors in the lower ranks of the club.

Actually I disagree, while the new car is not ugly the new owners of A1 have forgotten their roots. The old car looked “different” to other single seaters, sure it was window dressing with the nose & the engine cover but it made A1 look unique.

Now they look similar to any other F3000 series, I think they should have continued with a derivation on the old theme.
