That’s just peachy!

I can’t even get my blogs moved off of the trash heap they’re on without the domain going down last night (my time). Not sure how long it was tits up, but one thing is sure, all three of my blogs, the hosts home page and their client center were all busted for at least 15 minutes.

They’re a bunch of pea-brains I tell ya!

On the lighter side, and somewhat related, I notice GoDaddy signed up to be the “presenting” sponsor of this weekends NNS Bristol event. It’s a natural tie-in I suppose after GoDaddy signed with JR Motorsports and HMS to become primary sponsor for the #5 NNS Chevys for six races.

But I wonder, given GoDaddy’s reputation for being the Sploggers host of choice (aided & abetted by Goggle), will it actually be the real live NNS event Saturday? Or will it be a cheap stolen copy of another Bristol event from days gone by?

Just a thought, a whacky one, but it’s a thought.

How fast is fast? Well if you’re the newly paved surface at Darlington fast is Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman hitting 200 mph (unofficially) at the end the newly repaved backstretch during tire tests this week.

“The old humps and bumps are gone,” said Jeff Gordon. “It’s still Darlington. It’s just a lot smoother and a lot faster.”

So Goodyear, what did you learn? Anything about compounds, sidewall construction or the mechanical behavior of the tires? We shall see won’t we?

Ricky Craven gets the honor of having the last word on tires, he advises “drivers to be careful what they wish for.”

“X, Y Z coordinates?” What ever happened to Yellow Bananas and Fish Carburetors and drivers from Deer Lodge, Montana? (to say nothing of seven-eighths-scale Chevelles: But “The rules didn’t say you couldn’t…”)

(RANT ALERT!) Ya know I don’t give a dog crap in hell what logo they use for Daytona’s July 5th Sprint Cup event. But if they think cough Coke Zero cough tastes anything better than the after taste of a double shot of kerosine they’re nuts!
