And This is News How?
UPS announced Friday morning what had long been known that it will sponsor Roush-Fenway Racing’s David Ragan next season.
In other news, the moon is not made of green cheese and Hanna Montana is still an over-exposed (in more ways than one) ditz.
There have been several mentions by NASCAR about the new drug policy coming down the pike. The recent revelations by Ron Hornaday in an ESPN The Magazine article won’t effect the policy or Hornaday’s current status.
“It’s over,” Hunter said of if Hornaday faced any issues over this now. “This, to us, is a health issue, whether a person is sick or ill and trying to find a way to fix it,” Hunter said.
Ryan Newman lived up to his Rocketman nickname at NHMS Thursday. Making his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour debut earned the Coors Light Pole Award in qualifying for the New Hampshire 100 Thursday.
Chuck Hossfeld (No. 4 Mystic Missile Dodge), who won the New England 100 at New Hampshire on June 28, will join Newman on the front row for Saturday’s race following his qualifying effort of 29.745 seconds (127.080 mph).
Also winning a pole NHMS was Peyton Sellers who won his third Coors Light Pole Award of the NASCAR Camping World Series East season Thursday in qualifying for Friday’s Heluva Good! Fall 125.
NASCAR national series veteran Steve Park was second fastest at 30.177 (126.215). Eddie MacDonald, winner of June’s race at New Hampshire, was the third fastest, followed by Brian Ickler, and Marc Davis.
