Ray Evernham has nothing on the Cyprus dudes in the preceding post. Here is his explaination on possible fallout from “more than 60 image-conscious sponsors paying the bills to keep Evernham Motorsports in NASCAR’s premier series.”

    I am loathe to speak for, or interpret anyone’s intentions, but I think he was merely trying to point out the fact that if he could cope with his sons illness AND keep his business interests going, he could handle a divorce/girlfriend problem without losing focus. The morons (Yeah you Jeremy!!!) who think he can’t conduct business and have a personal life are the idiots. Ray’s mistake is in responding publicly, at all.

    Equating the life threatening illness of your child to an affair with your employee may not have been the best analogy to use, but hey, nobody’s perfect.

    I have generally taken Ray’s side given Mayfields history now they both have earned my scorn.
