The Sim Factory LLC, in association with the ARCA RE/MAX Series, Daytona International Speedway and Daytona 500 Experience has added a new ARCA Driver Development Program simulator to the 60,000 square-foot attraction.
The exhibit consists of four racing cockpits with 42 Inch LCD screens, professional simulation controls and will be powered by the newly released ARCA SIM RACING 08 software. Visitors of Daytona 500 Experience will have a chance to taste the excitement of racing at “The World Center or Racing” in an ARCA RE/MAX Series racecar. A rather unique part of this exhibit will be the Virtual Spotter’s Stand, where visitors can experience the full immersion of spotter-to-driver communications, a critical and vital part of stock car racing.
“This is yet another way for fans to get involved in motorsports,” said Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig. “We continue to look for ways for fans can learn, take part in, and enjoy the world of motorsports at Daytona 500 Experience.”
“We are very proud to have the ARCA SIM RACING software and our provided technologies at such a wonderful facility and believe that it is exhibits like this that will help to not only provide richer experiences for the visitors of the center, but at the same time promote the wonderful world of sim racing”, said Robert Coulter of the Sim Factory LLC.
Alli Owens, who resides in the Daytona Beach area and competes on the ARCA RE/MAX Series, visited the attraction and took on the local media as well as Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig and Daytona 500 Experience General Manager Kim Isemann.
“That was really awesome,” said Owens, who races the No. 12 Electrifying Careers Chevrolet in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. “Every time I go to visit anybody who races up in North Carolina whether it’s a Cup guy or a Craftsman Truck driver, right next to the pool table, they’ve always got one of these simulators sitting there. If they got it, you have to know it’s the real deal. We will sit there for hours racing it.”

I have been racing stock car sims online since the days of ‘Hawaii’ and the Nascar1 sim from Papyrus. That was over 10 years ago. This ARCA Remax Sim is by far the best online sim to date. The physics model that the ARCA Remax Sim has finally been upgrades since 2003 and the graphics are top dollar. Now they just need to get more tracks ready for upload for online league racing to really explode with this sim.
Junior and his possie did a great job and is well worth the 50 bucks.
‘IRacing’ and all their ‘big bucks’ have their work cut out to surpass this sim.
I was into the driver sims with Play Station for a while. It lasted until the game system price went through the roof.
Besides, between three racing blogs, two daughters, and about 30 animals running rampant around the place I have little time for anything else.
