Full Throttle

Those of you that have taken a driving vacation, who also have young children, have heard “Are we there yet” to the point of falling over a precipice into the deep abyss of insanity.

“Call a freakin’ Whaa-ambulance,” is my normal parental response. If I’m in a good mood. (a ride in the trunk is the other option)

After Kevin Harvick scored his series leading 6^th win at RYR Friday night I suspect his fellow Busch competitors may be screaming a variation of the above: “Have we gotten to Homestead yet?”

With the win Harvick has pulled out to a 619 point margin over second place Carl Edwards with 7 events to go in the season. It would take a monumental collapse for anyone to come close let alone surpass Harvick. At least not without a lot of help, like stuffing his fuel tank with a load of sugar. (or my favorite NASCAR sponsor Boudreaux’s Butt Paste)

Reality check: Harvick can finish last in the next four events, with Edwards winning all four, and the #21 Chevy would only be 5 points behind Carl.

All you non-Harvick Busch fans, can I get a “who-rah, yeah, yeah, who-rah Chase for the Championship.” - No? Oh well it was worth a try.
