Atlanta: Three Times a Charm

For the third consecutive week Sprint Cup qualifying has been rained out.

For the third consecutive week points leader Jimmie Johnson starts on the pole and gets his preferred pit selection.

Yepper, three times a charm. Makes you wonder when the “charmed life” will end, if ever.

For those doing the counting, the Weatherman is ahead of Kyle Bush 10 to 8 with four events left.

IN OTHER NEWS YOU CAN LOSE, Erik Darnell along with his NCTS sponsor Northern Tool + Equipment are taking their Roush-Fenway efforts from the truck series to compete in NNS in 2009.

Northern Tool + Equipment with be a co-sponsor with Discount Tire Company and David Ragan will share the #6 Ford will Darnell.

And the question is…

What weighs more heavily in this decision? Erik Darnell’s considerable talents or the fact Ford announced they were suspending monetary support of the truck series?

UPDATE: Funny how this works. For twenty-six events and 8 wins hardly a word was spoken by Kyle Busch. Now, now after six events that has seen Busch sink faster than the Titanic (or the current stock market) the new car is “a piece of crap.”
