Australian Sprint Car Moment of Zen

Mitchell Dumesny was involved in one of the most spectacular finishes ever witnessed at Parramatta City Raceway as he and arch rival Robbie Farr raced to the checkered flag when the two cars touched and Dumesny’s car embarked on a wild series of flips across the finish line.

He led Farr over the line upside down and was declared the winner, however the prize money Dumesny won went straight toward repairing his battered sprintcar.

“It was great to win, but that’s not the way to do it. The usual objective is to win a race on all four wheels,” Dumesny said.

NOTE: World of Outlaws star Steve Kinser led a strong American contingent at Parramatta to win the 31st running of the Valvoline Australian Sprintcar Grand Prix Friday night.
