It would be easy to think the 4,000 pound marketing gorilla that is NASCAR had covered the world in it’s trademarked yellow/red/blue/green logo.

Until now we would all be wrong.

And you can thank Patrick Hickey and his love for NASCAR with aligning our thinking with reality.

Hickey possesses a higher love of NASCAR than any of us. 29,035 feet higher.

Hickey planted a Nascar Nextel Cup flag amid the Tibetan prayer flags atop Mount Everest on May 24.

    Now all we need is a NASCAR flag on the moon. Requirements for next NASA manned mission to the moon: NASCAR fan.
