Williams has taken the drastic step of running two different chassis configurations at Silverstone this weekend.

Following the unsuccessful introduction of a revamped aerodynamic package on the FW27 at Magny-Cours last week, and after continuing to struggle on Friday, the Grove-based team converted Nick Heidfeld

After today’s performance at Silverstone (11th & 12th) is there any doubt that BMW is doing the right thing in abandoning the Williams effort? Doesn’t look good for Frank and Patrick, but they’ve been down before and I suspect they will be back yet again. At least I hope so!
