Carl Edwards to Practice “Brotherly Love”
Assuming “brotherly love” is taken in the context of beating the pants off his younger brother Kenny on the race track.
While Roush-Fenway teammate Greg Biffle has spent his vacation fishing near his northwest home Edwards will trek to I-80 Speedway Sunday to race Super Late Models, brother Kenny Edwards and a cast of local hot shoes.
Carl may be looking for a better result this year. Last year, Kenny finished first in the heat race while Carl finished second. Kenny finished third in the Grand National A feature and Carl finished 23rd after an early wreck.
Here is an excellent image of Carl riding the cushion in his Office Depot Super Late Model at last years event.
An interesting side note, I-80 has copied its larger cousin NASCAR and has a Chase For the Championship that starts after the last point night this month.
IN OTHER NEWS of “localization,” Scott and Chris Wimmer thought returning to their home State of Wisconsin would provide an opportunity to showcase what they have learned since leaving the area for “greener pastures.”
Instead the locals at Slinger Super Speedway “localized” the two NASCAR drivers.
Despite having strong cars, both brothers fell short with Scott finishing 15th in the 250 lap Miller Lite Nationals Late Model Feature race, and Chris taking 4th in the 35-lap Semi-Feature after failing to qualify for the main event.
