Chase Cesspool - Texas Edition

Many times in writing the weekly NASCAR Cesspool the lead item ends up being a toss of the coin. Not this week. The “Rocketman” was the prohibitive favorite to take the lead paragraph which is the first lead he has taken since Friday’s qualifying.

Through the first five Chase events it looked as though Ryan Newman would make the NASCAR Nostradamus look like an aged fool when he picked Newman to end the season in 10th place. 1. i was at the race, the reason for the long intro of Sara Evans and her streeeeetched version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was to wait for the fly over. speaking of the fly over, everyone loves the bomber, but the jets flying over in the friday night darkness with their after burners on was the coolest thing ever.

  2. Being a witness to the racew and introduction I can’t dispute your reason for the long introduction.

I just thought it was too long. But I will change who should listen to the looped tape, make it whoever scrambled the bombers and got them “on target” late.
