Crawford Visits Kentucky “Crash House”

SPARTA, Ky. (AP) - NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Rick Crawford spun out and hit the wall along the backstretch at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Crawford crashed during qualifying for the Built Ford Tough 225. He spun his Ford coming out of the second turn and made what track officials called “significant contact” with the wall along the backstretch. He exited the truck under his own power.

Track spokesman Tim Bray said Crawford was alert and was taken to a hospital “for further evaluation.” There was not immediate word on his condition.

The accident caused a 15-minute delay in qualifying.
