Daytona, Charlotte We Have a Problem!


Not being a great supporter of NASCAR’s Car of Tomorrow (safety aspect yes, but the execution of it NO!) I find this story a bit on the hilarious side. I suspect those that have sunk millions into the development of it might feel a little differently.

Of the 16 examples of the CoT from various teams submitted to NASCAR for approval 15 have failed to make it through the inspection process.

The ironic twist is the least likely to pass, in the eyes of Hendrick haters world-wide, is the Chevrolet built by Hendrick Motorsports. According to Brett Bodine the Hendrick Bow-Tie met “all of the criteria that is being checked,

    Damn, I never knew!

    The CoT most assuredly will give plenty of fodder for us writing about NASCAR. In concept I agree with the program, the way it is being developed and how it’s being introduced is a sham of the first order.
