Eastern Creek Should be Fun!

NASCAR, take note what follows is what many fans think has been missing from America’s premier tin-top series. Trash talkin’!

The V8 Supercar Series last weekend featured both a war of sheet metal between the sports biggest stars and afterwards a war of words has ensued.

First the on track melee: The biggest incident occurred on lap 56 at Turn 10 of the Adelaide circuit. Craig Lowndes was attempting to pass James Courtney for second place when contact was made between the pair and Mark Winterbottom was caught up in the ensuing incident.

  1. Hard racing will always lead to ‘racing incidents’ IMHO I thought Lowndes was downright foolish in that move on Courtney. Lowndes does have the part of playing innocent victim down perfectly…..he learn’t it off his mentor Brock.

Most of the other stuff was the usual argy-bargy that happens whenever you put tin tops on a street circuit.Overtaking is difficult at the best of times & the confines of a street circuit leads to some do-or-die-down the inside moves, combine that with the defender refusing to leave racing room & this is what you get. Very typical of tin tops because you can make contact with the other cars panels………..try that in OW somebody will be airborne.
