After being summarily shown the paddock door at F1’s Scuderia Toro Rosso Scott Speed has made good on his promise of centering his job search in America.

Eddie Sharp Racing announced Speed will be at the wheel of the teams third entry for the Oct 5th ARCA RE/MAX event at Talladega. Speed will drive the #21 Toyota sponsored by Red Bull.

“I come from a completely different world of racing, so there’s no doubt it’s going to be a challenge learning how these cars handle,” Speed said. “But I’m ready to get out there and see what I’ve got.”

Talladega is one hell of a venue to start with. Both Talladega and Daytona have been traditional crash-fests for the ARCA series, even more so than NEXTEL Cup because of the relative inexperience of many drivers competing in the series.
