Edwards Claims Second Career Victory
Carl Edwards tallied his second career victory Sunday at the Pocono 500, crossing under the checkered flag ahead of Brian Vickers and Joe Nemechek. Kyle Busch finished fourth, and Michael Waltrip, who started from the pole was fifth.
Jimmie Johnson finished sixth and still remains the series points leader by 123 points over Greg Biffle who finished 30th.
Edwards led 46 laps in his first-ever start at the odd, three-cornered Pocono Raceway. Edwards was pulling away in the final laps until Bobby Labonte brought out the final caution flag of the day entering the final lap of the race.
