Interesting. I agree on Mayfield as he seems to have bitched and complained his way out of top flight rides and into field filler if he even makes the race status.
As for Kahne, do you think he’ll take Bud with him? He would seem like a good fit in RCR’s 4th car but I imagine State Farm and Allstate may have a cross branding issue with that.

I have little doubt, since the cheap-assed uncalled for shot by Mayfield the Evernham team hasn’t done dog squat.

Everyone is tossing many names into the pool of drivers that may switch teams but fail to note Kahne, I don’t, he heads my list of those that will switch as soon as he’s able.

I want to see him succeed. He seems like a talented enough driver, has the looks and all of that important stuff, but something happened to that team with the buyout, I mean merger. I think Evernham lost his hunger, maybe the Mayfield lawsuit killed his drive or something I don’t know, but that team has struggled. It seems like a Black Hole as Sadler is not the same driver he was in the 21 then the Yates ride, Riggs never replicated his success he had in the trucks when I think he should have been on par with Carl Edwards; and Kahne had a great year in 2006 but was irrelevant last year for the most part. Somewhere along the way Dodge put Penske and Ganassi ahead of them in the pecking order and one has to wonder in Evernham’s very public relationship with Erin Crocker got him out of favor with Daimler Chrysler.

I still find it troubling that the Kasey Kahne is the face of Budweiser … that photo looks like it should be incriminating evidence against NASCAR for contributing to minors.
