FIA WRC Mexico Results

The Ford BP Rallye Sport crew of Markko Martin and Michael Park won the inaugural world status Corona Rally M?xico, round three of the FIA World Rally Championship. The Estonian/British pairing set just one fastest stage time in the Focus WRC, demonstrating that consistency pays off.

Ford took a resounding one-two with the Belgian crew of Francois Duval and Strphane Prevot finishing second, while Carlos Sainz overcame a host of dramas throughout the event to take the final podium position.

“It is a very different victory, it’s nothing to do with speed,” said Martin. “We really worked, not paying much attention to what was going on around us, just doing our own thing. For a change, luck was on our side. It is the first time I have benefited from other people’s bad luck. It is maybe just the way to win this type of rally.”
