Both Chevy and Ford will be fielding new bodies for its NASCAR [avatar:http://cranialcavity.net/files/cup.jpg]NEXTEL Cup[/avatar] and [avatar:http://cranialcavity.net/files/bgn.gif]Busch Series[/avatar] teams in 2006. It appears as though Chevy has locked in the latest version of it’s Monte Carlo. Ford on the other hand has fueled rumors because they have two potential model lines to choose from.
Ford will announce it’s selection in Charlotte on the Thursday before next weeks New Hampshire race. Chevrolet will do the same with its new Monte Carlo right before the the Brickyard AllState 400 at Indy.
Ford’s cat may already be out of the bag with it’s announcement it will be holding a special test drive event for NASCAR fans. The event to take place at Kentucky Speedway on July 16 will focus on the new 2006 Ford Fusion.
This Ford announcement follows an already set pattern. If you recall Chrysler promoted their new Dodge Charger sedan to the NASCAR crowd prior to release. And those with sharp eyes on Toyota will remember they also ran an ad campaign last month, with its products driving around a NASCAR-like track.
