From a Ram to “First on Race Day”
As most of you know Chrysler’s truck division tags it’s product line with the name Dodge Ram. The Dodge Ram moniker certainly gets it’s share of exposure and with Ted Musgrave winning his and Dodge’s first [avatar:http://cranialcavity.net/files/cts.gif]Craftsman Truck Series[/avatar] Championship it only increased.
Some of you may also be familiar with the acronym associated with Ford, “Fix Or Repair Daily.” Ultra Motorsports who fielded Musgrave’s Championship winning Dodges in 2005 apparently doesn’t believe that acronym is correct. Scene Daily is reporting Ford has signed Ultra Motorsports to join them in 2006.
Ford Motor Co. says it has signed a contract with Ultra Motorsports, which fielded the No. 1 Dodge driven by 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ted Musgrave. The reigning championship team will run its No. 1 Ford F-150 beginning in 2006.“I’m excited to be reunited with Ford Racing,” team owner Jim Smith said. “We started in this series running a Ford, and the F-150 with the Roush-Yates engine package looks to be the ticket for 2006.”
Obviously Jim Smith not only believes the F-150 is “the ticket” but also places much more emphasis on that other acronym for Fords brand. “First On Race Day.”
