  1. You chose an ABBA record as a target OVER the Bay City Rollers? I

  2. Younger as compared to who, Methuselah?

  3. No that’s George

  4. BTW have you noticed FM has been down for 2 days.

  5. Actually no. I saw George’s post on Interlagos and haven’t visited since.

So what does that mean, George is younger and you admit to being older than Methuselah?

  6. Check out planet F1, now Ron is blaming….wait for it.

THE INTERNET!!! LOL. I hope he reads Full Throttle & Fastmachines

  7. I stake claim to the oldest reader; my first music purchases were on vinyl. Don’t ask, it’s too complicated to explain.

As for the FM site Josh is suffereing severe angst with his site “host”. About to become the site “toast” if I could put my hands on the bastard’s corporate/personal throats!

  8. Isn’t that odd!

It almost never fails, whenever Peter mentions George’s name in a comment here George is drawn to it like a fly to flame even when not around for a couple weeks.

George, you got one of those trojan programs embedded in Peter’s PC?

As far as the FM website…. yep… it’s seems to be as hosed as the DEI/RCR engine merger. Or the long standing Pollock/Villeneuve marriage.

    Lotsa luck!!!

  9. No Trojans Marc, I read every day. Most of the drivel you and Peter write on usually isn’t worth a comment:) Don’t mistake my commenting indifference for not being a loyal reader. You do have to keep up on the grammar though, (wondered in lieu of wandered) as do I. Spell check doesn’t always catch those double meanings.

Keep up the good work, even if some of it is at my expense:(

  10. What’s worse, not responding to the drivel you & I write OR reading it “everyday”?

BTW, I was too polite to mention the wondered/wandered gaffe.

My God what are we going to do to entertain ourselves for the next 100 days before the F1 starts? Luckily the weather is warm & the surf is up, otherwise I would be going mad. The local chilli chicken burger shop, “Oporto’s”, is holding a competition with a trip for two to the Monaco F1 next yeat. Looks like that will be my staple diet for the coming weeks. :-)

  11. The local chilli chicken burger shop,

  12. Hmm yeat was a typo for year, but as you have humiliated me on the Blogosphere (& with Ron Dennis reading as well) I will now have to invite George if I win.

All I have to do is purchase a burger, scratch the lucky dip thingy for an instant prize & then put my details on the ticket.

What a hoot, imagine doing a post from Monte Carlo!!! :-)

  13. Ah… scratch & sniff.

    I understand now.

  14. Marc, I didn’t recognize you without the tin hat.

Charlie’s last blog post..Gordon and Johnson were surgical at Martinsville

  15. That’s ’cause my haberdasher has recommended I switch to Teflon hats.

He’s claims they ward off cosmic rays better.

  16. peterg - not sure how to read your question re: 8-tracks. Honest question, blissful memory, or hated technology? Not sure how best to describe 8-tracks other than in 2 ways:(1) music’s original answer to multi-tasking - while listening to one song you could frequently hear the not-so-faint image of another song on another part of the tape yet catching the edge of the tape head (2) recorded media socialism - all 4 segments of the tape were created equal even if song lengths weren’t - Kiss’s “God Of Thunder” on Alive 2 8-track faded down about 1/2 way thru the song because the segment was over, a harsh tape deck “click” interrupted the cut, and then Gene Simmons faded back in with Paul, Ace, and Peter. How vinyl begans its descent due to 8-tracks and cassettes is beyond me.

  17. Thanks 2muchcounrty! :-) I do actually know what an 8 track is, I was pulling the chain of the old man that runs this blog.

As for Gene Simmons…….if we could get him to fade into the background of Open Wheel in America I would celebrate, hopefully the loud “click” will be the sound of the hammer dropping on the bullet to finish off the “I’m Mindy” marketing whore. :-)
A pox be upon the house of TG & Simmons, frauds both of them. TG hides behind the wealth of the IMS & Gene hides his lack of talent behind stage make up.

glad I got that off my chest.

  18. Gene and Tony, bird brains of a feather: Too much money, too much time on their hands, too little “Vision”!

  19. Come on George, your just jealous of Gene’s make-up.
