GP2 Asia Series Entrants Announced

posted in Asian GP2 |

With four months left before the inaugural season kicks off, the GP2 Series has revealed important details of its first Asian campaign, including the identity of the 13 teams taking part and where they will be racing.

As expected, the inaugural field will comprise all bar one of the existing ‘European’ series teams, with only Racing Engineering missing out after opting not to expand its involvement to the ‘winter’ competition. The Spanish outfit’s place in the line-up is taken by experienced Asian-based Team Meritus, which will get its first taste of GP2 after running successful campaigns in Asian F3, FBMW and Renault V6.
