Craig - "Finally, they said during the broadcast that he lost an engine during his qualifying attempt."

You mean like, and to quote myself, "it doesn’t say much for the equipment you arrived with."

As for hitting the wall, thanks for the info (as opposed to John who offered ziltch), that would suggest Boyer is that one case out of a hundred.

John - "I guess being a know it all and knowing it all are two very different things."

How would you know, it would appear as if you fit neither category based on you offering zero to the conversation.

Jeff hit the wall around lap 12 when some cars spun in front of him. He was in the garage for ~60 laps making repairs. From that point on he was clearly just riding around the bottom of the track.

No mechanical failure; he had handling issues due to an accident he did not cause.

Finally, they said during the broadcast that he lost an engine during his qualifying attempt.

Too late for that you were already rude by setting up a strawman argument then using it to take a sideways swipe at me.

You believe what you want, your choice.

However, when you show up to race and you are number 50 out of 50 in the starting line-up AND you received that placing via a provisional (the ninth and last for the event) it doesn't say much for the equipment you arrived with.

Secondly he finished 40th due to "handling" issues. I've been around too many race tracks, race drivers and race teams and that experience tell me in 99 times out of a 100 that means he collected a paycheck nothing more.

He didn't have equipment failure to cause handling problems, he rode around as long as he cared to push his equip and parked it.

Plain, simple, end of story.

Not to be rude to you, I see responses to blogs from those who have not experienced being on the track or have never been to a race.

So, if I may ask, have you ever finished at the end of the pack caused by car issues?

Never said that wasn't in the equation, so what's your point?

As to your question, yes, five years under ARCA sanction.

What else ya got?

On May 5th, 2008, Marc said:#

He might know his way around the place, but knowing it acting on it is two very different things.

For example he completed less than a third of the required laps Sunday and finished 40th.

Marc, Oil on the track, you you there? Have you driven in arca before? Or any other race car? Hard work, determination and ambition make dreams come true.
