I Might believe Paris is Stamping License Plates

Some things are deserving of being dismissed out of hand with little to no thought given.

I could chose to believe Paris Hilton is stamping out her own personalized license plate (”I R Stuuupid?”) while a guest of LA County. I chose not to for obvious reasons.

I could suspend my normal, but tenuous, grasp of reality and believe Formula One’s newest Glamor Boy (Sorry Jense) Lewis Hamilton has threatened to leave McLaren if he is ever regarded as a #2 driver.

  1. But you ignored the balance of the article where Lewis went on to wax poetic about the team, Ron, etc. This was no doubt Hamilton’s way of diffusing some of the Monaco dust he tossed in McLaren’s face. Lewis will be a career McLaren driver, if anyone leaves it may be Alonso and his Spanish temper.

  2. I agree, Hamilton isn’t going anywhere within the next few years.

But I find it HI-larious the #2 thinks he’s he equal of the #1 (and he may be) and the #1 claims he doesn’t believe he should be considered as the #1.

  3. The irony of these statements can’t be lost on some of McLaren’s older employee’s, this was the team that saw inter team rivalry elevated to full out war, ala Prost & Senna.

Ron should be applauded, first for taking the risk of running a rookie in a front running team, & secondly for having two hot shoes pushing each other, with no team orders or defined #1 status. Both drivers are getting equal cars & treatment.

Despite my dislike for Ron, I can’t fault the racer in him.

  4. Can’t say I disagree
    Peter.
