I Thought the “Villeneuve Idea” was Dead?

Why, oh why does Bill Davis have to resurrect this idea?

I mean come on, an NCTS test for Motor Mouth? RCR went down that path and promptly said no thanks.

And Villeneuve is 18 months older. And he still can’t sing!

I understand money talks and bullshit walks. But some are walking that have the experience and Davis can’t be hurtin’ that much with access to Toyota’s cash drawer.

Montoya should be happy. Not that a former nemesis may join him, but when NASCAR fans get a good look at Villeneuve’s driving ability, or lack thereof, they’ll forget about tossing brickbats at Juan Pablo.

You Southsiders in Chicago have plenty of laughs at the expense of the Cubbies and their fans on the Northside. I’d suggest you head over to Chicagoland Monday for some real belly laughs.

Also from the Department of Absurdity, “Red Bull’s Helmut Marko has said former Toro Rosso driver Scott Speed would be supported by the energy drinks company to move into NASCAR.”

Puh-leeese, someone make it stop! (Montoya’s laughing a bit harder now!)

I swear, I’m reasonably sure his estate could afford it, so money isn’t an issue, but if a NASCAR owner could finagle a way to prop up Juan Manual Fangio in a cockpit they’d do it.

At least for a test.

Not sure he could actually make it to the finish of the 600 at Darlington though, the former F1 champ being dead and all, but someone may be willing to try.

And finally… Jimmie Johnson, call your office. Actor Bill Murray is holding on line 6 looking for some sage advice.

  1. Marc, I want to run an idea past you. How about we supply golf carts to JV/Helmet Marko & just let them loose? If past history serves….. In fact a golf cart for Max Mosley as well. :-)

  2. And Scott Speed.

    And Bernie.

And Ron Dennis. (and George if he happens by to defend Ron)

And Jense. (please no contracts, two disputes are enough)

    Did I miss anyone Peter?

  3. No but….I think George might be on Ron’s payroll. :-)
