Wow, from a marketing point I’m a bit lost on the Austrian angle. Red Bull success has not been built around being Austrian. In fact I would guess the average punter on the street does not even know where it orginates.

Talk about a shameless copy, although I’m not sure Frank has captured the Red Bull unique selling point. As for Tony, my advise…get Frank’s money upfront. How many energy drinks graced F1 in the late 90’s Hype(all over Williams & Bennetton)where are they now? Black Stallion, Rocket Fuel ?????

From the little research I did the owner of Franks is Austrian but based in Toronto now and has pretty large pockets.

Allegedly Franks Energy is big in the EU, but I can’t see that’s it’s bigger than Red Bull. But what to hell do I know. The whole energy drink thing is lost on me.

Sooner or later they’ll find out 99% of them cause cancer or your dick to fall off.

Yep too much slurping of V Energy Drink will knock your dick in the dirt every time.

It explains one thing though. Not having one is why you have such a great love on open wheel and not the more “manly” Tin Tops,

Yeah right, I guess I’m not man enough to watch the hillbilly’s drive tin tops in circles, or mindlessly circling after the umpteenth yellow. OOhhhOOOOOOOOOO & jnr is so cute!

Maybe one day I will improve my masculinity & start throwing beer cans at Gordon.

Mind you I throw things at the TV when the F1 is on, ……does that count. :-)

I had my suspicions, but I won’t speculate any further.

They company sponsored the Full Throttle Energy Drink 200 at Mosport in the Canadian NASCAR series. They also sponsor the #19 Dodge in that series.

Ahhhh I didn’t know that. Probably because I don’t really follow the real men of NASCAR, just those open wheel wimps. :-(
