Is Jack Roush on the Phone to TRD?
Police are searching for the thieves who broke into Roush Yates Engines in Mooresville on Monday night and stole three NASCAR racing engines.
The 358 cubic inch Ford engines are worth $50,000 each and weigh more than 500 pounds.
Workers at the shop told police the engines were kept on rollers.
Police say the thieves busted a hole into a wall of the shop and rolled the engines out into a stolen Penske rental van.
The van was found a few miles away from Roush Yates, but the engines are still missing.
Anyone with information in the case should call Mooresville Police Department at 704-664-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 704-658-9056.
(Missing from the picture of the crime scene is Lieutenant Horatio Caine the Head of the Miami-Dade crime lab performing one of his patented sunglassess adjustment moves)

Surely if TRD are the culprits they took the engines to study what NOT to build?
This smells of an inside job. RYR has laid-off or fired too many employees over the last year and it seems that a few wanted to strike back. The thieves were able to get a large truck from a racing team. They knew exactly where to go and how to circumvent the alarm system. They knew exactly what they wanted to steal. They knew how long the entire “operation” would take. They knew that security would be lacking. They knew how to (precisely) load the engines and the effort it would take to place them on the truck.
Okla, I hear it was Waltrip.
He needed to finish out his collection after getting the Roush swaybar.
