Jack Roush, Don’t Look Now…

posted in NASCAR |

Would it be safe to say the “honeymoon” between Jack Roush and new partner and investor John W. Henry will be of short duration?

As background, Henry is THE major domo behind the Boston Red Sox and his new partnership with Roush has not only infused some major cash into the racing operation but a new name as well, Roush Fenway Racing.

David Ortiz, Red Sox designated hitter/first baseman can’t become a free agent until 2011 and has watched a number of his teammates rake in millions in new contract extensions.

Henry looking to soothe the ego of his star gave Ortiz a new pick-up truck when reporting for spring training. Not just any truck, but a brand new Toyota Tundra pick-up truck.

Oops! Someone better keep Jack busy and burn all the newspapers within 500 yards.

Babe Ruth (originally a Red Sox) was once quoted as saying, “Every strike brings me closer to the next home run.”

Mr. Henry… methinks you have your first strike.

Why not let us know what you think by adding your own comment! Your opinion is as valid as anyone elses. (Except mine, it takes precedence over all!)

Truth IS stranger than fiction, you just can’t make up stuff like this!

I can’t wait for the first press jockey to shove a mic in Jack’s face, and ask for his opinion.

    NASCAR Team Sponsorship: $21M
    Ticket to Bristol: $95
Hot dog and a Pepsi: $5.50

Hearing your new business partner just gave one of his players a truck made by the competition: Facking priceless. :D

That gives me an idea Luke.

We should all tipoff Speed’s Dillner to this story, with luck he’ll be brave (doubtfull I know) enough to ask Jack.

This is just too funny for words. It’s like the biggest punchline of the year.

You all talk too much, but far less than the bloviating buffoon that runs this auto racing outpost.
