Helio Castroneves is race driver also, a two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 no less. He was apparently doing a “sales job” on the “U.S. Gobment.” “Dancing With the Stars Taxman?”
They ain’t buyin’ it and the taxman cometh!
UPDATE: Contrary to earlier reports, (and buckets of of frosty cold ice-water tossed on the idea) it seems Honda will not now give IndyCar’s first lady Danica Patrick a try-out in one of its RA108 Formula 1 cars following the end of the 2008 world championship campaign.
According to Canadian motorsport website Auto123.com, a Honda F1 spokeswoman has now stated that there will be no such outing, underlining: “We have no current plans to test Danica Patrick.”

UPDATE II:Speaking of taxes. The bill awaiting House approval, you know, the one variously called a bailout or a rescue or something now includes extensions to tax breaks given to NASCAR tracks. Shockingly enough, ’cause you know they hate NASCAR in oh so elite NY, the provision was added by NY Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Is that failed to pay tax on $5m, or failed to pay 5m in tax?
As for Danica, that F1 test was always going to be a publicity stunt.
I read it as he didn’t pay on 5 large of income, which roughly works out at about 2-2.3 mil owed.
Plus penalties, interest and his first born male child.
As for the financial impacts of what Helio allegedly owes, they pale in comparison to the 30 years in prison he can be slammed with; five years each on six separate counts.
Dance that one off Helio, if you can. Maybe all that fence climbing will be good practice for an alternative early release?
