Johnson Replaced By Speed

Scott Speed was asked and accepted an invitation to replace NASCAR’s Jimmie Johnson on Team USA’s entry in the Race of Champions Nations Cup in Paris.

Johnson had to withdraw from the race after breaking his wrist over the weekend after taking a swan dive from atop a golf cart during a charity golf tournament in Florida. Indy Racing League champion Sam Hornish Jr. had previously declined an invitation to replace Johnson.

In another driver change Touring Car Champion James Thompson steps in to replace injured Jenson Button (cracked ribs while karting) in the English line-up.
