Johnson to Play Golf Cart “Chicken?”
Jimmie Johnson and Pop Star Nick Lachey are teaming up to form the Super Skins Celebrity Golf Classic in conjunction with the Super Stupid Bowl.
Naturally the announcement brought out reporters - and bored bloggers with nothing else to post - questions regarding Jimmie’s last golf course escapade that cost him a broken wrist and a chance to compete in the 2006 RoC.
It must have been expected as they were both quick on the draw in response to holding a reprise of golf cart destruction derby:
“I might be talked into such a thing, if I can get some bindings to hold me on and make sure I won’t fall off,” Johnson joked. “It is for charity, after all.”
“We’re going to play chicken on top of the golf carts,” Lachey quickly chimed in.
Agreed Jimmie it is for charity, and after all, anything, even a few wrecked golf carts could enliven a sport that is about as exciting as watching a snail race.
On second thought, I bet some nimrod in Vegas posts odds on the latest snail race which would make it a bit more exciting. Maybe.
