Jordan to Remain for 2005 F1 Season

Jordan have confirmed that they will enter next season’s Formula One championship.
A team spokesman said: “We haven’t submitted it yet but we will definitely do so before Monday’s deadline.”

The team are looking for a new engine supplier after Ford pulled out but they are close to completing a deal with Toyota and have also been in negotiations with a potential Chinese backer. Formula 3000 team boss Christian Horner has also been linked with a possible involvement with the team which finished in ninth place in the standings with 13 points.

Minardi, to the surprise of no one, failed to register a point last season have submitted their entry which leaves only Jaguar’s position in doubt. If only nine teams agree to sign up then some will be obliged to run three cars to make up the numbers.
