Kristin Bumbera Pulling Double Duty This Weekend

When the going gets tough Kristin Bumbera gets going. After being the victim of circumstances in her first two races this season Bumbera is going the extra mile to prepare for the third stop on her Camping World East Series tour.

This weekend Bumbera makes her first appearance at the 7/8 mile paved tri-oval of Iowa Speedway. Her experience at Phoenix last month and at Texas Motor Speedway in a late model has proven that she can handle the larger tracks.

“I learned a lot in Phoenix and I’m looking forward to racing at Iowa Speedway,” Bumbera said. She will pilot the Hamilton Racing #94 Dodge Sunday night in the NASCAR Camping World East and West Series Combine Race. This race has proven to be packed with the toughest competitors in the nation in recent years. Kristin is ready for this contest, “I’m excited to be racing against such great competition including some cup drivers. You can’t find this mix of drivers anywhere else in the country.”

Kristin will also be racing in the ASA Midwest Tour Pride of Iowa 100 Saturday with Next Generation Racing, Inc. She will be driving her Bumbera’s Performance Associates #00 in hopes of gaining valuable knowledge about the track that will transfer to Sunday’s Long John Silver’s 200.

“The opportunity came up to race on Saturday as well as Sunday, and I jumped at the challenge. I know any extra track time that I can get this year will help me tremendously as I face new tracks all season long. The last minute decision to run in the ASA race gives me more confidence going into Sunday’s race.”

Kristin quote: “The race car doesn’t know who’s in it.” (Video)
