It sort of makes you think that the money that backs NASCAR and then profits from it is...well, a little afraid of actually rubbing elbows with it outside a gold plated hospitality suite.

Whatever, I think this is sort of a silly "tradition". I'm not a NASCAR fan, (tried but sorry, just can't cut it) but !!! Even the most die hard must have to admit this parade has to be a real snooze fest. It would be marginally more interesting if they had the drivers put on shriner's caps and pilot tiny little replicars.

At least Jacques Villenueve got to "race" a yellow cab.

I agree, some of the comments were funny... then there were the majority of them that displayed the ignorant, abusive and biased nature many of the "elites" in NYC hold as a mantra.

Marc (& I appologise in advance) as you well know I am fan of just about anything with two/four wheels & an engine.........however, turn left, roundy roundy, "racing" holds little appeal for me.

BUT!!!!........that Gawker blog and it's contributors had me laughing my head off.Come on! You've got to admitt they were funny? :-)
