Lexmark Indy 300: Booze it up Boys!

Just days after piloting a V8 Supercar, Australian driver for hire Ryan Briscoe will be back at the wheel of an open wheeler, securing a prized seat for next weekend’s Gold Coast Champ Car race.
Coming off debut appearances at both Sandown and Bathurst for the Holden Racing Team, Briscoe has been named the new driver for RuSPORT for both the Australian and final round at Mexico City.
He replaces the badly injured Christiano da Matta, a teammate of Briscoe when the Brazilian raced for Toyota in F1 and the Australian was the team’s test driver.
Team Australia CCWS drivers Will Power and Alex Tagliani and the the Aussie Vineyards team is preparing for its home race on Australia

I just love the Queensland Govt attitude to the event - “Hey lets extend the trading hours for clubs & pubs”…bless them
Alas, this year I can’t attend………but I have booked a table in the beer garden - with the big screen - at my local pub for a day on the sauce watching the V8’s & the Champs with the guys & girls.
Fear not marc I will think of you, schooner (not Fosters) in hand!

I’m going to be a mess on Monday if I stay up for the Brazilian F1, might have to record that one.
You know Peter, somehow I just knew you would take the bait dangled at the end of this post.
Sorry you can’t attend but see you have enough sense to stay away from Fosters. Near as I can tell that’s Australian piss-water they sell to us Yanks to make a buck.
But your free to try my two favorites, Burragong Bock and Bluetongue Pilsener. Just the thought of tasting them again send shivers down my spine.
I notice you didn’t make any promises to stay away from my favorite Hottie.
I’m pretty lucky as I have attended the Indy 300 several times, far more “social” paddock than the barbed wire mentality of F1 in Melb.
Last year I had a chat with AJ Almendiger, nice guy but he seemed to be only able to converse by mentioning the sponsors names. Friendly enough, but just a little too PR polished, a tad pre manufactured responses. I asked a few questions about the Lola & how it compared with FAtlantic & he was quite happy to chat.
I will be throwing back a Bluetongue for you.
And STILL no promise. Oh well, if I lose her to you I suppose I’ll just have to fall back on the old standby. Danica.
