The thinking goes Max is in the middle of the desert while the vast majority of the press contingent that cares about the issue is in Spain. He thinks it's Max's way of getting the foot in the door of respectability because he can then say, "see I CAN still do my job of overseeing and FIA event." I don't think it will work if that's the case, too many are coming out publicly denouncing the idiot. Kevin Garside had an interesting comment that makes a helluva lot of sense.

I hope the entire Jordanian visit goes off in his face with the Brit press running headlines along the lines of "Max comes out of bondage den to see the sunlight".
