Williams driver Juan Pablo Montoya stormed out of his first press conference ahead of this weekend’s season opening Grand Prix in Melbourne.

The fiery Colombian lost patience and walked off stage after a pair of irreverent Australian comedians, who had been posing off-beat questions, then played out a scene which involved taking phone calls and asking if he fancied a game of golf.

Team officials attempted to persuade Montoya to return but he drove away from the Sandown Raceway, on the outskirts of Melbourne, without fulfilling his commitments at a driver training day for the traditional celebrity race.
