NASCAR “Crashes” Go Digital and Analog
And you thought you were an expert on NASCAR crashes. Here is another lesson in NASCAR-nomics:
ATI Technologies Inc., a global leader in PC and mobile graphics, today announced a partnership with ZT Group International, Inc. to be the exclusive graphics provider for the first officially licensed line of NASCAR(R) PC notebooks and desktops. The hot new NASCAR PC’s will deliver the total “NASCAR Experience” featuring a NASCAR- themed desktop, icons, Windows Media Player as well as many other NASCAR themed offers and ATI’s Radeon(R) Xpress 200 chipset with integrated graphics based on the world-class Radeon(R) X300 core.
Now next time your piece of crap version of IE 6 or Windows XP catches it’s 999th virus of the week and crashes you can call out a digital NASCAR Safety Crew to pick up the pieces.
For the sake of realism I hope it comes with tire marks on the side of the case.
For the “non-digital” crowd you can always get your kids the new Race Day board game for Christmas. (Warning:The game features 28 cars used by 22 NASCAR drivers and no way to tell which driver is in each package!)
Race Day’s foil packaging makes it look like a pack of trading cards, but when opened it includes a fold-out game-board track and plastic cards with punch-out pieces used to construct two cars modeled after those used by NASCAR drivers, like Jeff Gordon.
Or the already released a NASCAR DVD board game, a NASCAR licensed MP3 player or NASCAR clothing. If you’re part of the home schooling set you can look to educational toy maker LeapFrog Enterprises Inc. They are developing a cartridge for the Leapster L-Max Learning Game System that will be available in the fall of 2006.
NASCAR-nomics, isn’t it a “wonderful” thing?
NASCAR, Auto Racing, Microsoft, AMD

i hope the computer has weekly automatic updates for driver/sponsor changes on the icons and whatnot. actually, i still wouldnt buy one.
Daily updates might be closer to the truth.
I have no intentions on purchasing one either. I gave up pouring money into ANY products that contain any sports logos. All the leagues and NASCAR are rich enough they don’t need my cash.
The next step is to give away the computers to elementary schools to start the next generation of fans in the right direction. Immediately followed by sneakers and free lunch programs!
