NASCAR has had it’s share of cinematic disasters, the most infamous in my opinion was Days of Thunder staring Tom Cruise. That flic not only made me sware off any NASCAR associated movies - including the current Herbie “on steroids” trash - but anything and everything with Cruise’s name tagged onto it. A promise I’ve kept to this day and I’m a better person for it. As an unintended result I haven’t fallen victim to his scientology cult like his current babe of the year, wife.

This latest Hollywood project may top Tom Cruise’s efforts and peg out the craptastic meter.

If you wed NASCAR, Charlotte N.C. and the comedic talents of Will Ferrell you end up with “Talladega Nights,” oops, nevermind it’s now called “The Untitled Will Ferrell NASCAR Comedy.”

Beware NASCAR, steer clear of this trash, Ferrell hasn’t made anything worth the price of admission since his SNL days. If the city of Charlotte feels compelled to kiss Hollywoods ass with tax incentives to lure more in state movie business so be it. Let it be titled “The Untitled Will Ferrell ‘Generic Racing’ Comedy.”
