NASCAR Texas: Where was the Target, the Moon?
I’ve resisted, until now, commenting on the woman that was hit by a stray bullet in the TMS infield over the weekend. Other than a couple stories that seemed to be slanted towards making assertion the projectile came from within the speedway and although unusual, not at all surprising.
That was then.
Now I question the sanity, temporarily at least, of the local police conducting the investigation. They claim, based on the admission of someone who was firing a .50 cal gun around the time, the projectile may have come from a target range 5 miles away.
I don’t question the range, a M107 .50 Caliber Long Range Sniper Rifle has a range of a bit more than 4 miles. When shot in a ballistic arc (picture a rainbow) it could easily made it from the range to the TMS infield. What I do question is…
What the friggin’ hell was this guy shooting at if indeed he’s the culprit?
The mind reels.
Speaking of questionable things, ESPN is at it again. They’re pumping out rumors faster than a Hollywood starlet pumps up her breasts.
They’re hot on the Ganassi/DEI merger rumor and have been since the weekend, and today they added a “Johnny Benson leaving Bill Davis Racing“ rumor to their cavalcade of BS.
I’m not sure what to believe other than inserting a bit of common sense into the equation. That results in a “sum” of I’ll believe it when I see it.
I also believe having a race with a title sponsor of “Hefty Odor Block 200” could be a little confusing.
Is it a kitchen/household product, or is a Hefty Odor Block a kinder, gentler way to describe a prostrate examination?
I don’t know, help me out here.

Wasn’t me.
That’s what Clinton said.
The culprit has been found:
OK, I just embedding YouTube doesn’t work.
Try this:
