NASCAR: Thank You Ebenezer France

NASCAR: Thank You Ebenezer France

The following is a public service announcement from the Half-Vast Staff of Full Throttle for those who haven’t been granted the “privilege” of access to NASCAR’s vaunted Media Website.

Maybe I’m mistaken and it really isn’t Christmas. It is hovering around 80 degrees at the old homestead and raining at a faster rate than a caribou pissing on a flat rock.

So, it could be. Or it could be Santa is in the Bailout Line along with half the known population of the planet and never made it.

On the other hand, I did have that lump of coal in my argyles this morning which tells me the Jolly Ole Man did make his appointed rounds.

But you’d be damn hard to determine it was Christmas by visiting NASCAR’s Media Website.

It’s completely void of any mention of the holiday! Not a hint, whisper, holiday graphic or even a “Christmas Day, sponsored by Sprint” promo! (The biggest shock of all!)

Doncha think it would have been nice of a multi-billion dollar organization run and operated by multi-millionaires to at least send out some type of press release wishing its alleged fan base of 75 million (ya right, how about half that) a happy and joyous Christmas?

Many of the race teams and individual drivers websites have posted holiday greetings of some type, but not NASCAR.

Too much to ask of the nitwits I guess.

  1. Happy Festivus!!!

I see you have already begun with the ‘airing of the grievances’ portion of the holiday.

  2. Pretty hard to pass up this grievance okla.

All things considered - like a piss poor economy and falling attendance - NASCAR could have at the very least acknowledged the holiday.

  3. Holiday, what holiday?

  4. That’s what France said.
