I’ll only conceed Jeffy is getting better and more power to him. I think I’ll stand on my position he won’t make the Chase.

Seriously though, at least they’re headed in the right direction. I remember such a year that wasn’t so long ago. Long time, championship crew chief gone, new guy that was relatively unheard of steps in. I remember that following year well. There were a lot of ups and downs, in and out of racing.

Gordon’s always been a “streaky” kind of driver. He might go a little bit between wins, but at the same time, he’s well known for pulling of several in very close proximity.

The way they ran at Michigan was positive, which probably has a lot to do with all the hype now. He actually had a decent car in traffic for once.

In the end though, I do agree. It’s a little too early to taut him as back on top of the game.
