Robby Gordon Answers Tweetie Bird
(Filed under “you can’t make this stuff up,” in the sub-category “if you can’t beat’em, join’em! let’em join you!”)
Robby Gordon will be racing his normal #7 Ford at Watkins Glen this weekend but will also field a second entry

For the love of God! You dont take somebody out one week & then invite hime to race with you the next. Jeebus, Robby! you did the crime take the penalty & move on.
Who “told” Robby to do this, I’m certain it wasn’t his idea?
Um… a publicist?
One of those “crisis management” types?
Or just the thought of getting his ass placed on the “bench” for the year.
Take yer pick.
It certainly is an odd circumstance, to my knowledge Gordon has never fielded a second entry during his time as an owner, although that may be due to a faulty memory.
Damn it Peter, you kinda beat me to it. I’ll blame Marc’s “host” for whacking up his RSS feed.
Anyway, I’ll echo your sentiments. “Who” thought this was a good idea?
I won’t doubt Robby, or push off on him, but let’s see…
A Ford, Chez Roberto, spins out another Ford, Le Turtlee, which happens to be one of Ford’s rising stars and also a person that draws a lot of attention. Also, he “kinda” is part of the diversity program since he’s a “foreigner”. Not to mention he was headed to his first win, which will bring Ford a ton of publicity. Not that this probably isn’t bringing as much, now and for years to come.
You think that Ford put the pressure to him to do something about it? Maybe. Why not?
Then again, maybe it’s all one big PR scam from the get go. #include
Damn it Peter, you kinda beat me to it. I
Um, looks like “edit comment” is a little off kilter, Marc.
First you blame the “host,” then make some lame reference to a “comment link.”
I can never win can I. Why do I feel like I just got run over by someone in turn 6?
Keep this up and I just may have to join up with these idiots, then how will you feel, huh? It wouldn’t be the first time I was on a picket line.
Why don’t you just be honest and say you believe your comment is worth reading twice!
Geesh!!
Well, it’s a given that my comments are worth reading twice!
As are your posts, right?
I think he invited Ambrose into one of his cars just for the opportunity to spin him out twice in one weekend!
At least twice Luke. Twice, and a copy sent to the Pulitzer committee!
George, you may be on to something.
