Robby Gordon: Points From Heaven!

posted in NASCAR |

Well… isn’t Brian France some kind of Deity?

If so the 100 point reduction Robby Gordon received, and was under appeal, being amended returning said points the driver was docked for an infraction found in Daytona can rightfully be called Points From Heaven. (Wonder if I should trademark that?)

Of course what the Deity gives, He takes away.

Why not let us know what you think by adding your own comment! Your opinion is as valid as anyone elses. (Except mine, it takes precedence over all!)

Your emphasis is on the wrong point. Forget the Robby sycophants, why can’t you admit that the point of his appeal (honest mistake versus cheating) was upheld?

I still don’t think the guy (Robby) is a legitimate NASCAR competitor, but on this score he happens to be correct.

Can you at least admit that much????

    Ummm..no.

Never said he was cheating. In fact I’ve laid the blame from the very start where it belonged… Five Star Bodies who built that part and many others for all teams regardless of make/brand.

That still doesn’t expunge RGM’s responsibility, it was Robby’s employee who installed it. NASCAR thinks differently, more power to them, that’s their job.

Brian France isn’t on the appeals board. I know there was information about it somewhere last year, as to who is on the board, and they are fairly well known names, but I have forgotten that as it has slipped through a hole in the net of my retention limits. I do remember that none of the NASCAR officials, France, Hunter, Darby, etc are on it. Robin Pemberton may be, as director of competition, but I don’t think anybody else is. I seem to remember the names of some retired drivers being on the board.

RevJim’s last blog post..It isn’t going to catch on

According to the press release, it’s a three man comission: Doug Fritz
    Bud Moore
    George Silbermann, Chairman

That’s the “Gang of Three” Mike. If memory serves the make-up of the members for each appeal rotates thru a group that sit on the bord.
