Regarding punishing Hamilton as well as Alonso, from what I can read the stewards have decided to punish the team for their “explination” of the hold up of Hamilton in the pits.
Ron’s got too clever for himself, instead of telling the truth - Alonso’s actions were deliberate because he felt it was pay back for Hamilton allegedly holding him up on track in qualifying - Ron has tried to b/s the stewards with a cock & bull story about the whole thing in order to get Alonso off the hook. The whole thing has backfired, the stewards have basically said the team is lying & the team can pay the price with no constructors points.
Sucked in Ron! that’s what happens when you don’t tell the truth…………..yet more fuel for the debate about McLaren’s integrity & honesty in Stepneygate.
How long will Mercedes allow Ron’s style of management be the public face of the three pointed stars race/marketing programme.
