Sprint Cup Qualifying Results - Reutimann, Toyota On Pole

David Reutimann and his No. 44 UPS Toyota won the Coors Light Pole Award for the FORD 400 with a lap of 31.462 seconds, 171.636 mph. This is his first pole in 63 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is also his first pole and fifth top-10 start in 2008. Plus, he became the 23rd driver to win poles in all three national series. Finally, this is his first pole in two races at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Qualifying second was Scott Speed driving the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota after swapping with teammate Brian Vickers. Speed posted his career first top-10 in his first race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Matt Kenseth and his No. 17 DeWalt Ford posted his second top-10 start at Homestead-Miami Speedway. It is his 14th in 36 races this season.

Carl Edwards qualified fourth, with Kevin Harvick just behind in fifth.

Regan Smith (26th) was the fastest qualifying rookie.

NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader Jimmie Johnson qualified 30th, and must finish 36th or better on Sunday to win his third straight Cup Championship.
