Scott Speed has admitted that he ‘doesn’t really care’ about results heading into his rookie season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, with the former F1 racer stating that he simply wants to finish where his car is capable of finishing.
With all due respect to Ziggy Stardust (isn’t that a blast from the past) there are so many “Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes” taking place in the racing world it’s hard to keep apace with them all.
David Reutimann and his No. 44 UPS Toyota won the Coors Light Pole Award for the FORD 400 with a lap of 31.462 seconds, 171.636 mph. This is his first pole in 63 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
For the first time in nine years, someone other than Frank Kimmel leaves Toledo Speedway with an ARCA RE/MAX series championship.
That was expected after Kimmel left his long-time owner to form his own team. That doesn’t mean Kimmel wasn’t among the favorites - he has nine career victories at the track - but it wasn’t [...]
Justin Lofton, in an Eddie Sharp Racing Dodge, broke the ARCA RE/MAX Series qualifying record at Toledo Speedway on Saturday afternoon with a 15.860-second lap around the .5-mile short track. He starts on the pole alongside Dexter Bean for Sunday’s Hantz Group 200.
Lofton’s time was good enough to eclipse the ARCA RE/MAX Series’ previous qualifying [...]
A.J. Allmendinger, recently aced out of his Red Bull ride by Scott Speed (presumably), has landed at Michael Waltrip Racing.
Dinger has been handed the keys to the #00 for this weekends event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Sitting at 36th in owners points Waltrip placed veteran Kenny Wallace in the seat at Talladega (replacing rookie Michael McDowell) [...]
The 2008 ARCA Re/Max title will be decided in next weekend’s season-ender at Toledo Speedway after leader Scott Speed and second-ranked Ricky Stenhouse finished poorly in Friday’s 250-miler at Talladega (Ala.) Speedway.
Allgaier, with no drafting help, drove to the outside of Joey Logano down the backstretch on the last lap, bounced off the former [...]
AJ Allmendinger lost his ride at Red Bull Racing.
AJ Allmendinger will leave the Red Bull Racing Team with immediate effect, the Sprint Cup team announced on Tuesday.
Allmendinger was completing his second year in the series and had put his #84 car back in the top 35 in the owner standings, but the apparent and imminent [...]
Roush Fenway Racing’s Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. became the first driver to break the 29-second range in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Chicagoland Speedway on Friday afternoon, posting a 29.995 second lap around the 1.5-mile speedway for a speed of 180.03 mph. He sits on the pole in a No. 99 Aflac Ford owned by Jack [...]

Red Bull Racing driver Scott Speed earned his second ARCA RE/MAX Series win of the season and first at Kentucky Speedway by 0.561 of a second over Sean Caisse tonight in the “Kentucky 150.”
The converted Formula One star drove to the pits on Lap 19 to take on fuel in his No. 2 Red Bull [...]
Anyone attending the Sprint Cup event at MIS Sunday spot a strange but vaguely, very vaguely familiar figure talking to Juan Montoya during pre-race festivities?
No?
Guess that’s understandable, unless you’re also an F1 fan. Then you may have caught a glimpse of Toyota’s F1 driver Jarno Trulli talking up his former F1 grid-mates Montoya and Scott [...]
There must have been a few leftover rainbows over the state after the recent storms in Kansas.
And F1 veteran Scott Speed may have caught one on his way to his first-ever ARCA RE/MAX Series win in the Kansas Lottery $150 Grand Friday afternoon at Kansas Speedway.
Speed started on the outside pole but by lap 16 [...]
